The season will consist of 10 episodes, as Parker and Stone decided to scale back and have one uninterrupted season, as opposed to two 7-episode runs, as had been the format since season 8. The season will utilize more writers instead of primary writer/co-creator Trey Parker, one of which is former Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader.
