我们组是以非物质文化遗产作为大方向，经过仔细了解后选取“鱼灯”作为创作的主要题材。并且使用二维逐帧动画的方式，将数字动画技术与传统手绘动画相结合，创作出了本次的毕设作品。故事主要讲述了因父母外出打工，男主人公余亮从小留守在渔村，逢年过节便与同村的伙伴一起追随村中老人学习制作鱼灯。岁月如梭，余亮也被父母带去外地生活。长大后的余亮成为了一位设计师，刷短视频时无意间看到关于家乡的宣传视频，回到家乡，村子因旅游业变得繁荣。余亮回到老人家中，人已不在，看着屋内还未完成的鱼灯，一瞬间余亮被带入了盛世大唐的灯会中，热闹的灯会让余亮体会到了鱼灯这门手艺的价值，回到现实的他决定传承这门非遗手艺。

该毕业设计以亲情为题材，以时间顺序讲述了：父亲带着小孩出去，再回来时小孩长大了一点，小女孩坐在父亲车上看街边风景，看着看着小女孩长大了，骑车的人成了她的男朋友，男朋友带她骑向了远方。从此父亲便在家里等待，夏天鸟儿飞在车上，父亲在树下打盹，秋天车上长满了蜘蛛网，父亲扫门前的落叶。到了冬天，父亲已经不在了，自行车被雪埋没。又到了春天，石榴树开花了，女儿带着丈夫孩子开着车回来，丈夫和孩子回到屋里，女孩独自望着树下的自行车，回忆亲人。

Created by Portuguese director-animator-illustrator João Gonzalez, the film follows a father and son, who, every day, harvest ice from their mountain perch and then parachute off their deck to deliver it to the valley dwellers far below. Then, coins in hand, they return to their altitudinous home using an ingenious contraption and prepare for another day, the same as the one before. While the dualistic absurdity/familiar comfort of repetitive labor is one theme of the film, Ice Merchants also explores how daily rituals serve as a foundation for human relationships and how the breaking of these connections interacts with these seemingly mundane routines. The floppy hats father and son lose to the wind on each dive to the valley are replaced with new ones, while a yellow coffee mug is unused, yet brooded over.
